Comfort Corners (2026)

On June 7th, 2026, we hosted our first Queer Spa Network gathering of care workers as part of the programming for our friend Ellie Krakow’s solo art show, “Comfort Corners,” at Foyer LA

We LOVE Ellie’s work. In her own words, “[I] use support structures as a lens to explore hidden labor, care and the awkward physicality of resilience…. By expanding how embodiment is represented, I hope to offer alternative imaginaries of dependency, adaptation, and survival; and to invite viewers to confront ableism, reconsider cultural narratives of illness, and reflect on their own experiences of fragility and care.” These themes compliment some of QSN’s values around care work and its relationship to survival and a co-created liberatory future.

Our gathering is meant to strengthen relationships between queer care workers, body workers, somatic practitioners, and healers on our roster that collaborate with us in offering free/low-cost services to our community. If you would like to join our roster, please sign up at queerspanetwork.org/give-care.
